YOUR PURPOSE: Do you have a passion for quality and a proven track record of building high-performing QA COE practice? Are you excited about the opportunity to implement best practices, select the right tools, and lead the charge towards a robust testing infrastructure? If so, then we want to hear from you! We're seeking a visionary leader to elevate our quality engineering practices to a whole new level. As the Director of Test Center of Excellence (COE), you'll play a strategic role in building a best-in-class testing organization. You'll leverage your proven track record of building and leading high-performing QA teams to establish a robust testing infrastructure and drive continuous improvement across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will wear multiple hats, including: - Strategic Leader: Develop and implement a long-term vision for the QA function, aligning it with overall product and engineering goals. - Technical Expert: Champion best practices in testing methodologies, automation tools, and scalable testing infrastructure. Select the right tools for the job and ensure their effective utilization. - Team Mentor: Foster a collaborative and high-performing QA team. Provide mentorship and guidance to QA leads, helping them develop their skills and leadership abilities. - Process Champion: Establish and maintain quality metrics for QA teams, including defining metrics, setting up dashboards, and generating status reports. Champion the adoption of efficient defect management processes, test case traceability, and effective test data management. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering squads and other technology groups to promote and accelerate the adoption of quality engineering practices. Provide training, resources, and support to empower teams to integrate quality assurance best practices throughout the development lifecycle. - Vendor Management: Partner with vendors to define and implement quality engineering standards and practices. - Minimum 12 years of experience in software development and quality assurance, with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role within QA Practice. - Proven track record of building and leading high-performing QA teams. - Hands-on experience with various testing methodologies (functional, non-functional, performance etc.) and a thorough understanding of testing automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Serenity BDD, REST Assured, JMeter). - Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and defect management processes. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate others. - Experience defining, establishing, and monitoring quality metrics for software development projects. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Education: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).   • This information is intended to be a general overview and may be modified by the Company due to factors affecting the business. - Develop and Lead the Test COE: Establish the vision, mission, and strategic direction for the Test COE. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the COE. Develop and implement a plan to build and mature the COE's capabilities - Test Strategy & Innovation: Conduct industry research to identify and implement best practices and leading-edge testing methodologies. Champion innovation within the testing practice, exploring new tools and technologies to optimize testing processes. - Budget Management: Develop and manage the Test COE budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve strategic goals. - Select and implement the right testing tools and frameworks to optimize test automation and efficiency. - Champion best practices in quality engineering, including test automation, test infrastructure scalability, and test methodologies. - Design and establish a scalable testing infrastructure to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. - Develop and deliver training programs on quality engineering best practices for the broader engineering team. - Mentor and coach QA leads, promoting their professional development and leadership skills. - Define quality metrics for QA teams, establish dashboards and generate status reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement. - Implement and manage efficient defect management processes, test case traceability, and test data management practices. - Collaborate with engineering squads and other technology groups to promote the adoption of quality engineering practices. - Work closely with vendors to establish and implement quality engineering standards and practices. - Ensure continuous improvement of quality engineering processes by analyzing data and identifying opportunities for optimization.
