Lennar Corporation is Hiring a Senior Tax Associate Near Miami, FL
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of the federal consolidated tax return
- Prepare federal and state partnership and LLC tax returns
- Prepare and review multistate income and franchise tax returns (combined/unitary as well as separate state income tax returns)
- Assist with the preparation and review of the Company’s consolidated quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations
- Assist with IRS and state tax authority audits
- Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly estimated income tax payments
- Perform tax research and analysis on special projects as needed
- Identify and implement federal and state tax planning opportunities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of diverse US federal and state & local tax legislation and US GAAP financial statement reporting requirements for taxes (ASC 740)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA (or CPA candidate) preferred.
- One to four years of Federal and state income tax compliance experience obtained in a public accounting or corporate environment.
- Hands on, detail oriented individual, strong tax compliance and problem-solving skills, including account reconciliation and analysis of book/tax differences. Strong work-ethic and sense of responsibility.
- Self-motivated. Value-added focus. Proactive and efficient. Team player that works well with others.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power P oint required ), tax research software, and tax compliance software. JD Edwards and Corptax experience a plus.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Position requires reliable, consistent and punctual attendance.
