Job Summary

We are seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our optometrists in providing excellent eye care services to our patients.

Responsibilities

- Perform preliminary testing on patients, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and color vision testing.

- Obtain and record patient medical histories.

- Assist in contact lens fittings and instructions.

- Educate patients on proper eye care procedures.

- Maintain and clean ophthalmic instruments and equipment.

- Schedule patient appointments and assist with billing procedures.

Requirements

- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs, and medical records.

- Understanding of physiology, anatomy, and ophthalmology.

- Familiarity with retail math for optical sales.

- Experience in patient care, particularly in pediatrics.

- Previous work in a medical office setting is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
