Job Summary: Leo’s Market and Eatery is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, friendly and reliable Eatery Team Member ensuring that our Eatery runs smoothly and efficiently. As an Eatery Team Member, you will assist guests by taking their order and preparing items according to the recipe, maintaining a clean workspace, while ensuring an exceptional customer experience that supports our vision to be the first choice in food and convenience. Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for all customers.
• Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe specifications, assembling salads, sandwiches, and other dishes as directed.
• Label and store food items properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, product and supplies, for preparation and restocking as necessary.
• Ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to food safety guidelines of the State and City Heath Departments.
• Promote store specials and loyalty programs to customers
• Maintain knowledge of store promotions, sales, and policies to inform customers effectively.
• Provide support to team members during busy periods or when additional help is needed.
• Communicate with management regarding customer requests and vendor-related concerns.
• Support, follow and adhere to the execution of established safety, security, quality and store operations policies, procedures and practices.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Assist with special projects or deep cleaning tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build relationships with guests.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service by providing pleasant greetings and parting remarks to guests including making eye contact; assisting guests with their requests and/or needs.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Basic math skills
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
• Due to the nature of work, must be at least 19 years old for full-time employment or 16 years old for part-time employment.

Education/Certifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety practices.
• Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is a plus, but not required.
• Completion of Age-Related Tobacco and Alcohol Training, to be provided.
• Underground Storage Tank (UST) Training, to be provided.

Physical Demands:

• Constantly standing, walking, reaching with hands & arms, using hands and fingers to handle & feel, and talking & hearing. Constantly lifting or exerting force up to five (5) pounds.
• Frequently stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting & bending, tasting & smelling. Frequently lifting or exerting force up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
• Occasionally pushing, pulling, climbing, sitting and lifting. Occasionally lifting or exerting force up to fifty (50) pounds.
