· Assist with self-administration of medication policy to document and observe resident medication regimen for all residents at all levels of care.
· Ensures accurate documentation on medication orders.
· Observe residents, charts and reports changes in residents' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and taking any necessary action.
· Measures and records patients' vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration etc.
·Reviews medication logs and consults with residents and physicians regarding priscriptions, refills, etc.
· Perform proper medication count and ensure documentation reflects the narcotic count log, at all times.
· Is responsible for maintaining ethical practices and maintain perimeters designated by scope of practice.
· Provide patients medication and drug education.
Training will be provided.
