As a Business Planning Specialist at Lite-On, you'll play a pivotal role in our operations, serving as a crucial support system with logistics. Your contributions will directly impact our success as we navigate through annual budgeting, audits, forecasting, and strategic planning. You'll be at the forefront of our efforts to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency in all aspects of our business.
We're looking for a collaborative professional who thrives in team environments and excels at coordinating efforts across different departments. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with Sales, Business Administration (BA), Logistics, and accounting teams in both the USA and Asia, supporting back-end business processes for LiteOn's PMS, SNS, PSS, HIS, and ENCL Business Units. Your effective communication skills, organizational abilities, and collaboration will be vital in ensuring seamless operations and alignment of business objectives.
Summary: We are looking for a Business Planning Specialist in Milpitas, CA
Job Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the annual budgeting process for the five business units, ensuring accurate financial planning and allocation of resources.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external audits, providing detailed information on import entry summaries, duties, fees, and inventory storage charges.
  • Manage tax filing for inventory staged in Texas for export to Mexico, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct monthly forecasting activities and facilitate SAP uploads to support informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports to track local and global revenue trends, providing valuable insights to management.
  • Execute monthly accrual processes for US customs duty, hub storage, and inventory tax, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review import entry summaries and warehouse hub invoices for accuracy and allocate import duties and storage charges to trading business units.
  • Conduct e-flow processes for reconciliation of US customs duty and fees, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Process payments for warehouse hub invoices and other vendor invoices and respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status.
  • Facilitate charge-back of merchandise processing fees to Dell using the TRAX portal, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
  • Provide expense-related analysis reports to business analysts in Taiwan upon request.
  • Collaborate with local operations and accounting functions to handle special projects and initiatives as needed.
Job Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in business planning (preferred in a manufacturing environment)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and think creatively, along with strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and strategic planning.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and effectively communicate a vision for driving growth.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data, active listening, and providing attentive customer service.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills coupled with marketing expertise.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic business plans.
  • Preference given to candidates with an AA or bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with fast speed deadlines and heavy deadlines, supported by strong organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Follow all policies, procedures and work instructions and make recommendations to improve the process through continual improvement, emphasizing organizational skills.
