LER TechForce is looking for a Systems Engineer with electrification experience, including hybrid and electric vehicles. This full-time position offers the opportunity to be a part of an engineering team out of southern Indiana focused on developing a propulsion and energy systems. The position requires working with automotive power electronics, systems engineering experience, writing requirements, etc. Candidates should be self-motivated and excel working cross-functionally. Individuals with experience working in the automotive engine space with knowledge of powertrains and electrification an excellent background for this position. Creating design and system-level requirements for a systems controller
Integrating various controls into the system controller
Applies the established practices and processes of the team and supports improvement activities
Look for opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the development process through lessons-learned activities
Investigate embedded software problems, understand causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate action, own problem resolution and validation, run design review and document results.
Makes decisions in the areas of software requirements, implementation, and testing that impact the quality and performance of software
Delivers independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge.
Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.
Conduct bench or vehicle testing to verify embedded software features' functionality and robustness.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: ESSENTIAL:
College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
Power Electronics experience
Controller experience
Systems engineering experience - broad knowledge, write requirements etc.
Humble, and teachable
Effective and collaborative team player
Good communicator - written and verbal
PREFERRED:
Automotive engine experience
Hybrid and / or electric vehicles (EV)
PCAN view, Canalyzer, etc.
Windchill RV & S / PTC Integrity
General electric vehicle knowledge: Battery Pack/System, Traction, Power Electronics, EV charging/AC/DC Fast Charging/ Vehicle-to-Grid type of feature
