Lesaffre Group is Hiring an Accountant, Staff Near Milwaukee, WI

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

· Accounting

o Codes invoices and assists with any related internal requests

o Prepares and posts general ledger journal entries by maintaining records and files

o Maintains accounting procedures for assigned tasks

· Reporting

o Manages the month-end and year-end close for one legal entity, while maintaining timely and accurate reporting

o Prepares, reviews and distributes monthly operating and executive financial reports

o Reconciles and enters monthly financial information into the Group’s consolidation system

· Financial Analysis

o Reviews monthly financial statements and investigates significant variances to budgeted and forecasted amounts for assigned business units

o Analyzes and reconciles various general ledger balance sheet accounts

o Prepares concise and accurate analytical reports as requested by management

o Supports the Business by providing meaningful analytics to the Management, Sales team or Department heads

· Budgeting and Forecasting

o Assists in the preparation of Budgets and periodic Forecasts for assigned business units and departments

o Assists the input and the reconciliation of Budget and Forecast information into the Group’s consolidation system (HFM)

· Other

o Assists the Cost Team with the completion of the legal entity’s annual physical inventory at off-site facilities

· Other special projects or necessary duties as required for harmonious business and working relationships

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.

· Three-Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· CPA Certification or CPA Candidate Preferred

Language Skills

· English proficiency required; second language a plus – Spanish or French preferred.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills

· Working knowledge of personal computers, including the Windows operating system.

· Proficiency in desktop software applications such as Microsoft Office (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, project management).

· Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Oracle preferred, or another large ERP system).

Requires hearing within normal range for telephone use. Occasionally requires lifting packages of up to 25 pounds. Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods of time, especially when traveling. Occasionally requires extensive standing or walking, especially at company meetings and trade shows.
