Basic Function: Responsible for all Procure to Pay (PTP) finance related functions including accounts payable and special projects for the business activities of Bio Springer North America Corporation.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Responsible for account payable including invoice entry, payment proposals, records and vendor communication
•Heavy involvement in new vendor setup process including master data maintenance, credit applications, and documentation compliance (vendor applications, W-9, W-8, exemption certificates, etc.)
•Carries out special projects with high focus on optimization of processes related to SAP PTP
•Active participant in the monthly, quarterly and year end closings including processing of journal entries
•Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
•Preparation of year end audit schedules
•Must be organized with the ability to prioritize overall workload and meet deliverables on a timely basis
•Responsible for documentation and mapping of other departments policies, procedures and systems
•Performs other ad hoc activities as requested by the Accounting Manager and Head of Finance
Reporting Structure
Position will report to the Accounting Manager who will conduct annual performance reviews and other evaluations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No subordinates report to this position.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's or Associates degree - Accounting / Finance; and one to four years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in an industrial context, preferably in the food, pharmaceuticals and/or biotechnology industry.

Travel: estimated 5% or less.

Computer Skills
In depth knowledge and experience with ERP system (SAP preferred) required. Proficiency with Office software programs required (email, spreadsheet, word processor, and presentation).
Language Skills
Proficiency in a second language preferred but not required - French or Spanish.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
