Job Description

Position Summary

The Reservationist will help to facilitate restaurant bookings, large group reservations and buyouts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Answer any questions the guests may have regarding the menu or the venue.
  • Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Confirms all booking information with guests and makes note of any guest preferences.
  • Ensures that all inquiries are handled timely, efficiently and with care.
  • Maintains effective communication with guests and managers.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling correspondence.
  • Can be involved in the production of print menus, floor plans and other materials for service.
  • Understands the policies and procedures of the organization and adheres to the company standards outlined in the company handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Previous Reservationist experience highly preferred.
  • Previous hospitality experience in high volume restaurant preferred.
  • Demonstrates effective oral & written communication skills.
  • Portrays a positive and professional attitude.

Certifications Required

  • Food Handling Safety certification
  • Working knowledge of Open Table and Seven Rooms

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Role may include exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with varying shifts days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
