Level D&I Solutions is Hiring a Technician Associate Near New Haven, IN

A Technician Associate is needed for a contract opportunity with our New Haven, Indiana client. Gathers site data of Distribution facilities, communicates with customers, problem solving, electrical distribution design using internal software. Creates work order/work packets for line crew. Will focus on pole replacements at first, but could evolve into bigger projects as becomes available.

  • Will travel to various job sites within Fort Wayne District area. Occasional overnight travel.
  • The first 6 months of training will be in office 5 days a week. After that, hybrid Tues, Wed and Thurs in office.
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Drive new camera rig throughout the District to get pictures of all facilities.
  • Performs work activities as assigned and coached by higher level employees.
  • Plans work in accordance with client standard planning practices.
  • Prioritizes routine work to meet the demands of the company.
  • Maintains accurate records.
  • Applies technical knowledge and experience in resolving problems encountered in assigned work.
  • Uses initiative in looking for opportunities to improve the process and increase job knowledge/technical skills.
  • Seeks out, compiles, analyzes, and interprets information necessary to perform work activities and solve problems.
  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
  • Assists in the preparation of technical reports and papers.
  • Develops decision-making skills based on sound judgment and job knowledge.
  • Develops an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the local organizational unit.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of related utility industry work experience; OR an Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/ Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields.
  • Can Read and Understand Schematic Drawings
  • Comfortable with Customer Service and Data Entry
  • Microsoft Excel, Outlook required
  • Prefer candidates good with computer software, quick learner
  • Self motivated
  • Confidence
  • Team player

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
