As a Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA, you assist one or more physical therapists in evaluating and providing treatment to help patients recover from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments.
Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA tasks will include, but not limited to:
· Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment.
· Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA records patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment.
· Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
· Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
