LevelUp Force has an immediate opportunity for an IT / Data Center Technician to provide on-site, day-to-day technical and operational support for one of our prestigious Broadband Satellite Network customers at its Regional Management Center located in North Las Vegas, NV.

This is a full-time, 5 day/week, On-Site position that will report to the Regional Management Center Manager and work closely with the onsite Technical Support and Engineering teams, the Network Management Center, and all customer engineers and management.

**Must be available and flexible to work varying shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd or mixed) in a 24x7x365 environment**

Responsibilities:

• Work in one of the most complex communications networks and as a member of the team responsible for 99.99% system uptime with zero defects.
• Perform system-monitoring, routine preventive maintenance, customer problem tracking, and network problem resolution in all aspects of networking integral to HughesNet & HughesON Baseband, IF, RF Communications and related backend systems.
• Responsible for System Administration, Network Monitoring and Management, new buildouts, changes to existing networks, and maintenance of the IP and system infrastructure.
• Identify root causes of technical problems and develop procedural and technical recommendations for improvement.
• Plan and coordinate implementation of new products into the production environment.
• Monitor specific system limitations to maximize capacity and efficiency and perform equipment level capacity planning and network performance activities.
• Maintain equipment inventory and configuration management records, including software releases, patches, and hardware changes.
• Manage escalation and emergency response requests (Occasional work is required during maintenance windows, outside of normal working hours); create detailed tickets; communicate issues to customer service and upper management; and troubleshot events in a short time frame.
• Monitor power, HVAC, fire detection/suppression, and local security and monitoring systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Data Center Standards, Service Management Quality Program, and ITIL.

Requirements:

• AA degree, electronics school certification, or equivalent military training and experience.
• 2 years of experience with LAN/WAN industry standards.
• 2 year of solid experience with system and network troubleshooting, network performance monitoring/capacity planning; customer issue tracking; new buildouts; network system upgrades and configuration; equipment inventory; and overall maintenance of IP and system infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP and Ethernet configuration.
• Knowledge of satellite and terrestrial technology (i.e. DSL, WIFI, Cable, etc.).
• Experience installing and terminating various cables (CAT6/6A, coaxial, fiber) and equipment with precision.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and assume new responsibilities and tasks.
• Ability to carry up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 20 ft high.
• Must be available and flexible to work varying shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or mixed) in a 24x7x365 environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certifications are a plus (Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Cisco).
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems desirable.
• Basic electronics troubleshooting skills desirable (ability to use and interpret readings from a range of test equipment including spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, protocol analyzer, power meter, Fiber test sets, etc.).
• Experience with Cisco, HNS, CATV/IPTV and other Telco and IP protocol core network and equipment.
