Levi Strauss & Co. is Hiring a Sr. Manager, Retail Projects, Beyond Yoga Near Culver, CA

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sr. Manager, Retail Projects to join our growing team. This role will lead the strategy and execution for Beyond Yoga's real estate growth. You will be responsible for building relationships with store designer partners, vendors, and cross functional groups, for overseeing all aspects of new store openings, from pre-construction planning to grand opening. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure stores are opened on time, within budget, and meet all brand standards.

The Sr. Manager, Retail Projects will work to achieve operational excellence, spending time between new store openings creating and updating all standard operating procedures for Beyond Yoga. You will enable teams to understand, celebrate, and sell our product through a well-planned, well maintained, right sized fleet delivering growth. This role will work closely with Store Operations and Retail Leadership to identify business needs and provide tool and resources to solve them. They will inspire others and foster a culture of performance through continuous growth and evolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages relationships with store design firm, sourcing partners, architects,
  • Manage the entire new store opening process, from lease negotiation and site selection to grand opening.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Review architectural and engineering plans, ensuring compliance with brand specifications and building codes.
  • Manage vendor contracts and procurement for store build-out and equipment.
  • Oversee construction activities, conducting regular site visits and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure all expenditures are within allocated limits.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, such as operations, marketing, and HR, to ensure a smooth store launch.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver project reports to senior management.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor, pushing the brand to be competitive and understanding the impact on the customer experience, store workload, employee engagement, and compliance
  • Creates and maintains standard operating procedures for the retail stores.
  • Partners with Store Operations team to define prioritize and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Maintains working knowledge of competitor practices, providing benchmarking and key insights.
  • Problem solves and demonstrates the ability to find solutions to difficult or complex issues, can anticipate consequences

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail project management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully opening new stores on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and timelines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Experience with construction drawings and specifications (a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $116,300-155,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
