Job SummaryThe plant Assistant Sanitation Manager will assist the Sanitation Manager in leading, directing, developing and implementing plant wide programs and activities to produce quality products through effective and efficient sanitation programs. This position will assure that the manufacturing site remains in compliance with all regulatory agencies from a sanitation standpoint. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining all sanitation, GMP, pest control and providing continuous support to improvement programs enhancing quality assurance in the plant that impacts quality, food safety and hygiene. Help develop and maintain the plant Master Sanitation Schedule.
Ensure compliance of state, federal and local regulations.
BRC-GFSI knowledge and compliance.
Assist in overseeing the Pest Control Program.
Assist in planning, developing and implementing Sanitation Standards and Goals.
Assist in facilitating Food Safety and sanitation training.
Assist in Developing/Facilitating an internal audit program.
Assist in providing effective training and communication solutions to all departments.
Knowledge of Chemicals used in Food Manufacturing Facilities.
Assist in maintaining the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points Program.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
Must have Plant Sanitation program experience Bakery preferred.
Must have good communication skills.
Must have computer skills including Word and Excel.
Mechanical experience a plus.
Must have strong problem-solving skills.
Must be able to perform the essential physical functions of this position which includes lifting over 50lbs and working from overhead lifts and possibly on top of grain bins.
Former BRC experience preferred.
Ability to have a flexible schedule to support Plant Operations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities.
