The Houston, TX office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking a Federal Civil Rights associate attorney to join its Litigation Practice. Admission to the Texas Bar is required.

The successful candidate will have substantial analytical, communication and writing activities; strong communication skills, including communicating with clients, team and partners, and providing timely reporting and appearing in court; as well as two (2) to seven (7) years of litigation experience in some or all of the following substantive areas:

• • Federal Court practice
  • Civil rights litigation and appellate defense
  • Experience writing lengthy briefs and motions
  • Ideal candidate either has experience as a trial attorney or completed trial advocacy in law school and is committed to learning how to become an effective civil jury trial attorney
