Lewis Dental Group is Hiring a Front Desk Dental Receptionist Near Silverdale, PA

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage patient flow, optimize appointment schedules, and minimize wait times in collaboration with clinical staff
  • Provide a friendly, welcoming environment, address inquiries, schedule appointments, and assist patients with insurance benefits and payment options
  • Maintain a positive, inviting atmosphere in the reception area, ensure cleanliness and organization for an exceptional patient experience
  • Coordinate treatment plans by scheduling multiple appointments, confirming appointments, and following up with patients to address any scheduling changes
  • Work closely with clinical team to facilitate effective communication and coordination, contributing to a patient-focused, collaborative culture
  • Make decisions and solve problems quickly with sensible, well-communicated solutions

DUTIES/TASKS TO PERFORM:

  • Greet patients as they arrive at the office
  • Respond to and manage a multi-line phone system
  • Assist patients with information forms
  • Verify insurance benefits, take and enter payments from patients and insurance
  • Submit insurance claims with supporting documentation, and make additional financial arrangements with patients when necessary
  • Update patient records and document recent treatments and procedures
  • Organize and maintain patient waiting area as well as front desk area
  • Communicate post-treatment care to patients
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service and/or patient care
  • Professional demeanor, clean appearance, friendly personality, and positive attitude
  • Experience in a dental office (preferred)
  • Knowledge of dental practices and procedures (preferred)
  • Experience with dental terminology (preferred)
  • Familiarity with dental insurance and dental codes (preferred)

  • Excellent phone etiquette and strong computer skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and technologies
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fast-learner with strong work ethic and ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable to daily changes in the dental office workflow
  • Team player with willingness to learn and take on more responsibilities as needed
  • Compassionate and empathetic
