Job Summary And Qualifications
  • Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
  • Performs all appropriate general diagnostic radiographic procedures.
  • Observant of patients’ conditions.
  • Practices and enforces radiation safety as described in Federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy. Adheres to all appropriate hospital and regulatory policies and assists in maintaining accreditation.
  • Understands and operates electronic information systems.
  • Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
  • Successfullyoperates mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment within the department, in the OR, and throughout the hospital.
  • Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance their knowledge of diagnostic radiology and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.
  • Takes call after regular hours as assigned.
  • Assures primary area is clean and organized. Offers to assist in other areas of the department when not needed in primary area. Performs clerical and transport duties as needed.
What qualifications you will need:
ExperiencePreferred - One-year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital environment.
EDUCATION
Required - Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Preferred - As above, with successful completion of formal computer courses.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Required – ARRT registered. BLS upon hire or within 90 days of employment.
Preferred - ACLS, PALS, NRPHours: PRN
