The minimum salary is $16.099 per hour This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable.Pay Grade 508This position is eligible to receive hazardous duty supplemental pay at $90 / month ($0.52 per hour) upon hire.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this classification is to perform manual unskilled to semi-skilled labor for the general maintenance and repairs of LFUCG facilities, equipment, grounds and city roads.

These positions provide parks services that may include athletic field preparation and turf maintenance, refuse collection, dog park maintenance, restroom cleaning, playground maintenance and hard court maintenance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• No experience required
• Position requires a valid driver's license
• Depending on area of assignment, appropriate pesticide license from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture within the first six (6) months of employment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs labor-related activities to include custodial maintenance, general landscaping, light construction and minor repairs for parks, streets and roads, facilities and fleet, sewers and / or other LFUCG properties and / or facilities depending on area of assignment
• Moves furniture and / or assists with equipment delivery, installation, setup and teardown at public functions and events
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment
• Picks up and delivers parts for automotive and truck repair
• Assists with trash collection, pick up, and disposal
• Performs related work as assigned

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be accessible for on-call duty and be able to work weekends and holidays as assigned and during emergencies.
