The minimum salary is $16.342 per hour This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable.Pay Grade 510

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this classification is to assist in various trades including but not limited to construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry that involve the maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction of fixtures, equipment, and facilities.

This position assists in providing maintenance and repair of HVAC systems for over 60 facilities including Artworks at Carver, Picadome Administrative Office, Dunbar Community Center and neighborhood centers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma, GED. Or equivalent
• One (1) year of related experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Identifies maintenance and repair needs
• Performs repair and maintenance work in areas such as construction, HVAC, electrical,

plumbing, and carpentry

• Prepares logs and reports to understand and monitor progress on projects
• Operates heavy equipment to haul items and complete tasks and projects
• Addresses service requests as they are placed
• Performs related work as assigned

SPECIAL LICENSE / CERTIFICATION

• Valid Driver's License to qualify
• Valid Kentucky Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class B and a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner's Certificate within the six (6) month probationary period and maintained as a condition of continued employment
