Position: Vice President of Finance Operations
Location: Hybrid

The Vice President of Finance Operations is responsible for directing and delivering company-wide end to end Procure to Pay and Order to Cash processes. This includes accountability for driving key accounts payable and cash application processes by working across various internal and external teams and functions. The VP ensures team's activities, reports, and results are within goals and in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
This role requires a seasoned professional who has a thorough understanding of accounting/finance, a process improvement mindset and revels in a high-volume transaction environment. Additionally important is the building of strong relationships, resolving disputes and ensuring that customer satisfaction objectives are achieved whether it is an internal or external customer. The person will need to be a seasoned leader who can groom teams and ensure their professional growth. The VP of Finance Operations will report to the Chief Accounting Officer.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assesses the current P2P and OTC models to create a strategy and vision around the development and documentation of future state process flows, and identify needed organizational and workflow changes.
  • Manage and optimize the company's processes by overseeing the accounts payable and cash application functions.
  • Generate accurate and timely financial reports, supporting the broader financial reporting requirements of the organization.
  • Manage the T&E function to ensure that employees are maintaining the guidelines and provide reporting dashboards to senior leadership. Enforce T&E spend policies and conduct regular audits of certain key business expenses (e.g. meals, flight classification etc.).
  • Develop AP/AR performance standard measurements, monthly tracking and reporting of key metrics, organize a team for success, integrate collaborative and customer service-oriented behaviors, and control efficient and effective AP/AR practices within our business culture.
  • Responsible for developing improvement and strategic plans for areas of responsibilities.
  • Directs team's activities to ensure compliance with accounting principles and adhere with company policies
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers and other Company departments to ensure positive interactions, resolutions, and outcomes of inquiries and issues and works in collaboration with other departments to make the identified changes to improve processes.
  • Resolves escalated internal and external customer issues.
  • Establishes department goals and monitors key metrics, analysis, and reporting.
  • Directs and leads integration activities for Account Payable and Cash Applications in M&A process.
  • Ensures that the appropriate internal control environment is maintained.
  • Mentors, coaches, and develops employees through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, communication of policies and rules, and constructive discipline; builds morale and motivation.
  • Achieve efficient cash collection and payment metrics while optimizing cash flow.
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Proven track record in implementing process improvements and optimizing end-to-end Procure-to-pay and Order-to-cash processes within global organizations with effective change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in enterprise finance initiatives
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing manual processes through automation and/or AI
  • Strong judgment and decision-making capability
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills and ability to drive process improvements.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence, persuade and drive action.
  • Collaborative management style and strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with senior leaders in the organization.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or related degree; Master's degree a plus
  • Minimum of 8 -10 years within a mid-size to large company environment including at least 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role
  • Experience interacting with and leveraging offshore teams
  • NetSuite experience a plus
  • Knowledge/experience in legal aspects of payables and accounts receivables
TRAVEL:
This position is remote. The position will require periodic travel to corporate headquarters and divisional offices. The corporate headquarter location is Houston Texas with divisional offices throughout the US.
