The Opportunity:
As a Platform and Security Expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless
integration of development and operations while prioritizing security measures. You will
be responsible for implementing and maintaining DevOps practices, security measures,
and ensuring compliance with SOC 2 standards to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and
security of our systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
DevOps Implementation:

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.

• Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software delivery processes.

Security Measures:

• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential security risks.

• Implement security best practices and measures throughout the development and deployment processes.

Monitoring and Incident Response:

• Set up and maintain monitoring systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.

• Collaborate with the incident response team to promptly address and mitigate security incidents.

SOC 2 Compliance:

• Lead efforts in implementing and maintaining SOC 2 compliance measures.
• Ensure adherence to SOC 2 controls and frameworks, including risk assessment and security policy development.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with SOC 2 requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Foster collaboration between development, operations, and security teams to ensure a holistic approach to system architecture, security, and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on DevOps, security, and compliance initiatives.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of the DevOps processes, security measures, and SOC 2 compliance efforts.
• Ensure that documentation is kept up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps and security roles.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and command-line operations.
• Solid understanding of Linux-based server environments and distributions.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Shell scripting on Linux platforms.
• Proficient in managing and securing Linux servers, including user authentication, permissions, and firewall configurations.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux-based networking and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) on Linux systems.
• Experience with implementing and maintaining security measures on Linux-based servers.
• Strong understanding of security best practices for Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Linux-based tools for log analysis, monitoring, and intrusion detection.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks in a Linux environment.
• Familiarity with Linux-based cloud services (e.g., AWS EC2 instances, Gcloud).
• Hands-on experience with HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) and understanding of distributed storage concepts.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms for HDFS, including Kerberos-based authentication.
• Experience in configuring and managing security features within the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Proficiency in implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions for secure user authentication.
• Understanding of identity management protocols and standards (e.g., OAuth, SAML).
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are a plus.
