As part of our Standards division, o2si, is a leading manufacturer of organic and inorganic reference materials. At our site in Charleston we produce customised organic Reference Materials (RM’s) and Certified Reference Materials (CRM’s) to support the chemical, environmental, petroleum, clinical, food safety, pharmaceutical and industrial hygiene industries. Our services in Charleston are accredited to ISO 17025 and ISO 17034 quality standards.
Job DescriptionJob Purpose:
Ensures delivery of excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of orders, communication, and coordinating with other departments to resolve inquires. First point of customer contact for general inquiries (i.e. pricing, products, scheduling etc.). Builds and maintains business relationship with clients by providing prompt and accurate service which helps promote customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
  • Respond promptly to customer requests
  • Accurately input customer orders into database
  • Provide customers with product and service information
  • Up-sell products and services
  • Provides support to the shipping team (picking & checking)
  • Exemplify the LGC core values on a day-to-day basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QualificationsEducation, Experience and Technical Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Associates or Bachelor of Science degree is a plus
  • Very organized and attentive to details of procedures
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer skills (including MS Office, in particular MS Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of environmental laboratory methods and processes is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills and attention to detail
