LGC is Hiring a Facilities Technician I Near Petaluma, CA

LGC Biosearch Technologies locations Petaluma and Novato, CA, as well as our sister site in Denmark, represent a focused, collaborative culture of producing mission-critical genomics components, primarily oligonucleotides and supporting reagents, for our diverse customer base. We are currently seeking candidates who are up for the challenge of operating in a high-growth, purpose-driven organization.

Job Description

  • Respond to Facility tickets in a prompt manner to resolve issues with repairs and maintenance of facility.
  • Ensure that Facility tickets are closed out to the satisfaction of the requestor
  • Coordinate and supervise various facilities related projects as needed
  • Coordinate the activities of contractors as directed by Facilities Lead
  • Monitor performance of service contractors to agreed service levels
  • Provide logistics and technical support to facilities, instrumentation, and laboratory staff when appropriate
  • Communicate with stakeholders on project progress and delivery
  • Coordination of cleaning contractors and onsite security contractors
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours if needed
  • Ensure that facilities meet EH&S requirements and comply with legal requirements.
  • Lives locally to respond to facility alarms or emergencies.
  • Has excellent communication skills.
  • Is self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as with others.
  • Has a positive can-do attitude.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance and/or a specific trade, ideally in a lab setting.
  • High School degree required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Use of a web browser
  • Promotes cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverables
  • Must possess problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Independent thinker w/ ability to troubleshoot day-to-day events and plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload
  • Multi-tasker.
  • Flexible and proactive.
  • Detail oriented.

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: $ 19.85/Hourly

Maximum: $ $34.56/Hourly

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for the California -based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience, skills, and location.
