LGMG North America, Inc is Hiring a HR Specialist Near The Colony, TX

Job Title: HR Specialist

Reports To: HR Director

Position SummaryThis position will coordinate human resources activities within the organization including but not limited to managing talent acquisition, payroll run, employee relations, business and company-offered insurance plans, and other duties as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with benefits insurance brokers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with commercial business insurance brokers (automobile, workers compensation, property, general liability, Inland marine coverage etc.)
  • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview, and select applicants.
  • Handle employee questions, interpreting policies and procedures, and helping resolve work-related problems, including employee relations and administering discipline.
  • Investigate and report on industrial accidents for insurance carriers.
  • Manage payroll and benefits programs etc.
  • Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Maintain employee records concerning personnel-related data.
  • Research and understand all current and upcoming federal, state, and local laws and regulations in areas of operation.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
  • Maintain smooth communication and cooperation with LGMG parent company when requested.
  • Other duties requested by LGMG from time to time.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, with minimal warehouse environment exposure. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Location

4105 Live Oak Dr Suite 100, The Colony TX 75056 or other locations designated by LGMG North America.

Travel

5-10% travel required to other facilities and trade shows as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or business administration.
  • 3 years experience in the Human Resources function.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and other application rules and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (strong cross cultural experience or skills preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution industry.
