Location: Aurora, IL
Job Duties:
The Supervisor will supervise employees at a Surface Transfer Center (STC) for the US Postal Service under contract with LGSTX Distribution Services, Inc. (LDS). Responsibilities will include the following:
- Ensures accurate, timely sorting of mail by employees
- Performs supervisory functions including staffing, personnel interviewing, selection, training, rewards/discipline, performance reviews, attendance, timekeeping and safety compliance
- Maintains effective communication regarding operational requirements to employees
- Responsible for operational policy communication and problem resolution
- Assists Manager and Shift Managers of STC as necessary
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 2 years of freight, logistics, distribution or warehouse operations supervisory experience
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- The ability to work in partnership with corporate LGSTX teams including Executive Management, Human Resources, Safety and Training.
- Proficient with PC using Microsoft Office software
- Working knowledge of regulations governing government contractors and applicable state and federal laws
- Ability to lead a safe work facility by applying company, state and federal safe practices, policies and regulations
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support a 24/7 operation
- The ability to work in a startup operations environment
- The ability to lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs
- Ability to pass a federal background check and drug test to access USPS facility
- Bachelor's Degree
