Job Title: Assistant Controller

Reports To: Corporate Controller

Direct Reports: 5 direct reports in GL, Inventory, AP and AR

Office Location: Thousand Oaks, CA | Hybrid flexibility (1-2 remote days/week)

Salary Range: $130,000 to $150,000 based on experience discretionary bonus paid quarterly

LHH Recruitment Solutions (Los Angeles) is partnering with a consumer products manufacturing and e-commerce company in Ventura County to hire an Assistant Controller.

Description:

• Responsible for financial reporting and integrity and accuracy of data and accounting information

• Establish and ensure compliance with financial closing schedule

• Assist with internal and external financial audits, including preparation and review of audit schedules

• Oversee inventory valuation and ensure accuracy in inventory reporting

• Collaborate with FP&A team to support long-term financial planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 7 years of accounting experience

• 3 years of supervising a team and reviewing accounting work

• Inventory experience from e-commerce, wholesale/distribution, or consumer product goods industries

• Strong technical background with knowledge of FASB accounting rules
