LHH Recruitment Solutions is representing a manufacturing company in the Kansas City area seeking to directly hire a highly motivated and skilled Human Resources Generalist to join its team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department. This position reports to the Senior HR Manager and is responsible for handling a wide range of HR activities and being an advocate for a positive work culture. Responsibilities include:
Provide support in all areas of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, onboarding, training, performance management, employee records, benefits, compensation, and HR policies/procedures.
Lead the full-cycle talent recruitment and selection process including job posting, resume screening, and conducting interviews and onboarding new hires.
Build strong relationship and become a trusted resource to the workforce; support employee development initiatives, training programs, performance appraisals, and career development plans
Partnering with front line managers and providing coaching in areas including employee relations, training, HRIS/Timekeeping system, benefits, staffing and workers compensation.
Monitor HR policy adherence and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including maintaining employee records and preparing HR reports.
Assist with cultural improvement measures, wellness activities, employee engagement, and community involvement opportunities.
Qualifications needed:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; commensurate professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
HR certification is a plus.
At least 3 years of professional experience in an HR Generalist position.
Recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); reporting and data analysis abilities.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
Can thrive in a fast-paced environment and show flexibility regarding work hours.
