LHH Recruitment Solutions is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Davis, CA

Hi there!

We are actively searching to add a Property Accountant to the small but mighty team in our Davis, CA office! We’re a well-established local residential property management firm looking for our next team member now that we have a long tenure accounting professional moving on to their next opportunity. 

While we are certainly looking for a qualified candidate on paper, who you are as a person matters greatly to us as we have a very collaborative team with each member of our accounting department assisting where needed

  • We are currently working an onsite schedule in our Davis, CA office

  • This is a contract to hire position (we want to ensure that we’ll be the right fit for the candidate long term)

  • The compensation for this role ranges from 35.00-41.00/hour DOE

General Duties

-Prepare financial reports, statements, and presentations for various stakeholders.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes.

-Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

-Process 1099s and ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements.

-Manage business licenses and ensure timely renewals.

-Prepare and file county fictitious business name statements as needed.

-Maintain and troubleshoot office technology as needed.

-Assist in pass-through entity elective tax calculations and remittance.

-Assist in financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

-Assist in the preparation of year-end close and accounting work for outside CPA.

Requirements 

-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is nice to have but not required with the below experience 
-A minimum of 2 years property management accounting experience required (performing the exact or similar duties listed above)
-Yardi property management software is required
-Advanced level knowledge of GAAP (cash, accrual and full GAAP)
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
