LHH is working with a leading company in Grapevine that is in search of an experienced Accounting Manager. This role requires strong communication skills, exceptional organization, and a robust understanding of GAAP accounting, especially in internal control environments. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing various aspects of Accounting and Reporting, with a primary focus on month-end closing procedures and ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position involves monitoring control effectiveness throughout the month, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and identifying opportunities to enhance control measures. Additionally, the role encompasses general accounting responsibilities and support during external financial audits.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess control completion and effectiveness using Floqast software and reviewing supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with third-party internal auditors and external audit teams to facilitate control testing.
• Supervise the general ledger accounting team, including reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements by analyzing data from the general ledger and various departments.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely provision of documentation for annual and quarterly financial audits.
• Manage annual insurance audits and identify opportunities for process improvements, proposing new tools and methodologies.
• Communicate and collaborate across internal teams to address accounting and financial inquiries through data research and interpretation.
• Provide accounting support for special projects by reviewing financial information and gathering supplementary data.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information to safeguard its value.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and practical experience applying it in a professional setting.
• Familiarity with industry standards and a solid grasp of accounting principles, particularly U.S. GAAP.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to plan and organize effectively to meet deadlines.
