LHH is Hiring an Accounts Payable Manager Near Kansas, MO
Accounts Payable SpecialistAre you looking for a Accounts Payable Manager position? LHH Recruitment is currently looking for a AP Manager in Overland Park for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This is a role pays $26-32/hour based on experience and working a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 at home). The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for managing and processing all invoices and payments in an accurate and timely manner. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Read below for additional details!

The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records subject to federal contractor requirements and/or security clearance requirements.
Some of the duties include:
- Prepare check requests, coding the disbursement, verifying the accuracy of the invoice, and identifying and communicating exceptions.
- Ensure that correct payments are made in a timely manner.
- Ensure Federal Form W-9 containing vendor identification numbers has been collected from all vendors.
- Record credit card transactions into appropriate software and ensure that the appropriate documentation and approvals have been obtained.
- Prepare bank deposits of all cash received, maintain appropriate records including cash receipts journal.
- Maintain general checking account check register and cash balance.
- Prepare and enter payroll journal and other accounting journal entries into general ledger accounting system.
- Maintain and reconcile the petty cash account.
- Maintain and reconcile the postage stamp inventory and usage.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Three to five years experience in accounting, finance or business administration.
- Understanding of accounts payable functions.
- Knowledge of fund accounting, internal controls and segregation of duties, is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience using Word, Excel and other Accounting/Finance software.
