LHH is Hiring an Aseptic Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift Near Hendersonville, NC

LHH Recruitment Solutions has a 3rd shift, 12-hour shifts on a rotating shift Aseptic Maintenance Technician opening for our client in the Hendersonville, NC area! This direct hire role allows you to utilize your training and experience of maintenance, repairing and servicing production equipment. You will be a critical component in resolving issues related to safety concerns, inspections, trainings and foster a safety-first culture that is proactive.

This on-site position requires a certification within either Certified Sterile Processing Management (CSPM), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRSCT), and/or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT). Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in dealing with sterile processing and distribution food manufacturing environments and have a high focus of hands-on work within pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical systems and also understand schematics interpretations.

Salary range: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and process guidance in aseptic processing and packaging for all food manufacturing.
  • Perform in-process sampling, testing and inspection on the packaging line as required.
  • Oversee the preparation of all equipment and parts for sterilization needed.
  • Maintain proper use of aseptic techniques in an ISO regulated environment.
  • Participate and successfully complete the required annual hazardous waste training.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to mechanical and electrical equipment as needed.
  • Current working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP)
  • Assist in the setup, disassembly, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Assist in the bulking and/or filtration process(es) prior to aseptic filling.
  • Conduct and document equipment inspections as part of PM performance and evaluate any requests for repairs.
  • Manage and monitor the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment as needed/required.
  • Complete all work in accordance with established safety procedures by company and legal requirements.
  • Create and maintain equipment manuals, complete work orders as needed as well as inspection reports and documentation of work hours.
  • Accountable for food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements to be met.
  • Required and responsible to notify management about any actual or potential food safety issues.
  • Oversee repairs of pneumatic and hydraulic controls and aseptic processes.
  • Understanding of heat exchangers, steam controls, and how to repair them.
  • Extensive knowledge in adjustments, repairs, and exchange proximity sensors, fuses, motor starters, relays, switched and timers.
  • Perform robotics troubleshooting and repairs, including but not limited to - robotic cell setup and changeovers, end-of-arm tooling adjustments, and fixture set-up.
  • Responsible for required adjustments such as weight, color, and cycle times.
  • Responsible for injection and blow molding equipment.
  • Oversee documentation of end-cycle process guidelines and any address any tool or system issues as needed.
  • Perform PLC Automations for Siemens such as recommissions of industrial equipment systems.
  • Maintain and/or upgrade a PLC-based control system for an automated line equipment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 to five years of Sterile Industrial Food Manufacturing mechanic experience.
  • certification within either Certified Sterile Processing Management (CSPM), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRSCT), and/or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).
  • Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Electrical (120vac-480vac) proven knowledge and experience.
  • Detailed oriented and can multi-task.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to read/interpret schematics/blueprints.
