LHH is working with a company in the Dallas area that is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. This pivotal role involves partnering strategically across various facets of their organization, ensuring meticulous financial accounting, and refining operational controls to facilitate future expansion. Reporting to the VP of Finance/Controller, the Assistant Controller collaborates closely with senior management, executives, and finance personnel, contributing to the comprehensive financial reporting, planning, and analysis across multiple business units.

Job Responsibilities:

• Compile monthly financial reporting packages
• Oversee subordinate staff in financial report preparation and budgeting, offering guidance and support
• Analyze financial reports to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain compliance with legal financial standards and rectify any accounting discrepancies
• Conduct variance analysis on revenue and expense accounts
• Develop annual profit plans and associated schedules
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and subsidiary ledgers
• Prepare and input journal entries into general ledgers
• Undertake additional tasks and projects as required

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a preference for a Master's degree
• Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience
• CPA certification mandatory
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Experience with Microsoft GP Dynamics and Management Reporter advantageous
• Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
