Pay: $52,000 -$72,000

Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time

LHH is working with a client in Portland to find a Legal Billing Specialist for their team. The Legal Billing Specialist is responsible for the complex billing process including, but not limited to: auditing, reviewing, editing, preparing and submission of complex invoices electronically accurately and timely in accordance with the firm and client guidelines for each assigned office.

*Prior Legal billing experience within a law firm not required but desired*

Typical Responsibilities:

• Preparing billing reports and managing client billing records.
• Coordinating with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient billing processes.
• Adhering to timelines for generating pre-bills.
• Compiling and distributing pre-bills and related reports.
• Sending bills to clients.

Qualifications for the Ideal Candidate:

• Prior experience in legal billing is advantageous.
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, solve problems, and take initiative with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic and ability to consistently deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent keyboarding, grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with clients, firm members, and other professionals.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
