Complex Litigation Paralegal – Baltimore, MD LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Complex Litigation Paralegal. The ideal Candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate will have experience in one or more areas of law handling complex litigation matters, including but not limited to (Personal Injury, Wrongful Death matters, Employment, Commercial Litigation, Family law, Civil Rights and Health Law). The candidate will be responsible for drafting legal pleadings, discovery demands, responses, motions, and other legal documents, conducting legal research, drafting routine correspondence, managing case files, Court calendars, assisting with client intake meetings, managing case files and e-filing documents in Court and other administrative duties on ad hoc basis. Responsibilities
Review and draft pleadings, routine legal documents (discovery documents and motions) and conduct legal research
Create and maintain case files and attorney and Court Calendar/Docket as needed
Assist and meet with clients, handle client intake, and maintain valued relationships
Facilitate organization strategies to meet attorney deadlines efficiently
E-file legal documents and be knowledgeable in one or more areas of complex litigation matters
Participate in fact investigation and adhere to state and federal compliance regulations/laws while maintaining the proper storage and confidentiality of client information
Qualifications
Prior experience as in complex litigation as a Paralegal
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate and commensurate experience
Excellent Written and Oral skills and must be an effective communicator
Knowledge of standard MS Office Suite and Legal Research Search Engines
