Contract Business Litigation Attorney

Location: Downtown Los Angeles

Hourly Rate: $70 to $80 per hour

LHH is collaborating with a boutique law firm in Downtown Los Angeles in seeking an experienced Business Litigation Attorney on a contract or contract to hire basis. This role is ideal for an experienced litigator with 5 years of experience who is looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity. The successful candidate will be expected to handle various aspects of litigation, manage day-to-day case activities, and provide support while our lead attorneys are in trial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Case Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Depositions: Conduct depositions efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected and recorded accurately.
• Litigate Cases: Independently litigate cases, including drafting motions, attending hearings, and presenting arguments in court.
• Discovery Disputes: Handle discovery disputes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, motions to compel, and protective orders.
• Legal Writing: Produce high-quality legal documents, including briefs, motions, and memoranda, with attention to detail and precision (law review experience preferred).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business litigation.
• Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
• Strong litigation skills, including trial preparation and courtroom experience.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills, with a preference for candidates with law review experience.
• Proficiency in managing discovery processes and handling disputes.
