This position pays 160K-175K Bonus and offers work from home on Fridays.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of Property Accounting Managers, providing guidance and support in the management of a diverse portfolio of operating office properties, including both wholly owned and joint venture properties.
• Assume overall responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting needs of all operating properties, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This includes reviewing general ledgers, financial statements, reconciliations, GAAP adjustments, fixed asset accounting, and JV partner reporting.
• Conduct detailed monthly reviews of assigned properties to maintain accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate and supervise the annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes for all operating properties, including city roll-ups. This involves overseeing Building Capital forms, as well as Expense Participation detail calculations.
• Manage and oversee joint venture external audits, collaborating with Property Accounting Managers and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to meet tax requirements.
• Prepare quarterly cash projections and conduct monthly reviews of available cash for distribution for operating properties.
• Review leases ranging between 10,000 and 25,000 square feet for operating properties.
• Handle accounting-related tasks for acquisitions, including oversight of purchase price allocation, recording of acquisitions, review of prorations, setup of leases for EP calculations, and management of partner reporting needs.
• Provide training and coaching to new Property Accounting Managers and offer ongoing support to all members of the accounting team.
• Undertake ad hoc reporting responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA certification is mandatory.
• 7-10 years of previous experience in commercial real estate accounting, with a focus on supervisory roles. Experience gained in Public Accounting Audit will be considered if it includes a substantial amount of time working with commercial real estate firms.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
