Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all financial operations. The Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the company, providing strategic insights, and guiding decision-making processes. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's financial performance and long-term success.

Responsibilities Include:

• Establish and maintain accounting standards, policy, and records in a fast-paced environment.

• Ownership of YE financial audit.

• Ownership of the preparation of audit work papers for year-end audits with outside auditors.

• Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, inventory, expenditures, and investments.

• Ensure monthly and quarterly books are GAAP compliant and closed within required deadlines.

• Act as a key resource on special projects and continuous process improvements in such areas as: internal control environment and financial operations (such as accounts receivable and accounts payable).

• Support the CFO and VP of Corporate Finance with preparation of the monthly financial reporting package.

• Maintain ownership of and coordinate with VP of Operations to conduct regular and year-end physical inventory reconciliations.

• Lead preparation of tax returns, maintain relationship with tax preparers, and ensure on-time payments.

• Ensure proper accounting treatment and adherence to internal policies and ensure compliance with any relevant statutory laws and financial and tax reporting requirements.

• Partner with Senior Management in the review and evaluation of, and due diligence on, potential acquisitions, including direct involvement in acquisition integration.

• Ensure strict internal controls are in place across business.

• Explore the implementation of various system enhancements and interfaces to streamline accounting.

• Numerous other ad-hoc reporting internal and external reporting requirements.

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• CPA Required

• 10 years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role

• Experience working in private equity backed ventures a plus

• Strong understanding of IASB/FASB/GAAP

• Highly professional demeanor

• Strong Excel skills and highly analytical

• Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills

• High professional standards regarding work/business ethics

• Strong ability to manage multiple demanding tasks with confidence in a fast-paced environment
