We are working with the Partners of a well-established law firm based in New York City, NY. They are looking for a dynamic Controller to join their team and act as a de-facto CFO. This company offers a competitive salary w/ extraordinary benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead FP&A function including forecasting and budget
- Lead accounting activities including monthly closings and reconciliations
- Coordinate client billing with attorneys, and manage accounts receivable, and credit and collections
- Manage relationships with banks and brokerage firms
- Manage risk management (insurance policies)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of Corporate Accounting within a Professional Services firm
- Expert Excel working knowledge (Pivot tables)
- 2 years of Supervision experience as an Accounting Manager or higher
PREFERENCES:
- Experience working within Public Accounting or Law Firm
- Exposure to Legal ERP systems (Elite, Aderant, ProLaw)
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Experience with Payroll, Risk, and Vendor Management
