LHH is Hiring a Dispatcher Near Olathe, KS

Dispatcher- Olathe, KSLHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in the Ottawa, KS area, looking to fill their Dispatcher position. The Dispatcher is responsible for the efficient coordination and direction of field units to ensure timely and effective service delivery. The role requires strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and a keen sense of urgency. This is a Contract-To-Hire opportunity offering up to $45,000 annually. Please note that this position could be 5 am-5 pm (4 days on, 3 days off), or 5 pm-5 am (7 days on, 7 days off).
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and dispatch field units to appropriate locations based on customer requests, service requirements, and location.
  • Monitor the status of field units to ensure timely completion of service calls.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates and information regarding service status and estimated times of arrival.
  • Maintain accurate records of calls, dispatches, and customer interactions in the dispatch system.
  • Assist in route planning and optimization for field units.
  • Handle emergency situations by following established protocols and coordinating with relevant emergency services if necessary.
  • Provide support to field units, offering guidance and information to assist in service delivery
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certifications in logistics or related fields preferred.
  • Proven experience in a dispatch role or similar position.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS systems.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights and weekends if required
Job Details:
  • Monday-Friday: 40 hours/week
  • Compensation: $45,000 annually
  • Job Type: Contract-To-Hire
