Our client is seeking to fill the role of Grant Writer, based in Chicago, IL. This position is a vital part of their team, responsible for managing grants, meeting financial goals, and maintaining donor relationships.

LOCATION: Chicago, IL (fully on-site)

TARGET START DATE: Immediate

JOB TYPE: Contract-to-Hire, W2, Benefitted

What you’ll be doing:

• Identifying, researching, and cultivating prospective institutional donors
• Writing compelling grant proposals and reports
• Managing a portfolio of grants and ensuring timely submission of proposals and reports
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with donors, including corporate, foundation, and other organizations
• Using the CRM to manage donor information and track deadlines
• Collaborating with agency program employees to develop proposals and evaluation materials
• Representing the agency at public events and meetings with donors
• Participating in continuous quality improvement activities and attending trainings related to trauma-informed approaches
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience
• Proficiency in Raiser's Edge NXT or similar fundraising database software
• Valid Illinois Driver's license and ability to pass background and drug screen
• Prior experience working with youth and development highly preferred
