Akkodis is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a Direct Hire position with a Medical Equipment company located in Glenwood, IL. To be considered for this position you must have hands on Facility and Equipment Maintenance experience, preferably in a Manufacturing related industry.

• PLEASE NOTE this is a 2nd Shift position- Hours are 3:30-12:00am with flexibility***

Pay/Salary Range: $25/per hour to $30/per hour
Maintenance Technician job responsibilities include:
This position is responsible for facility/equipment maintenance and perform essential upkeep tasks throughout our facility. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs and cleaning to ensure that our facilities are both tidy and functional and maintains production quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment running efficiently and trouble-free. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will have some work experience and good technical knowledge. You should have the manual dexterity and physical stamina necessary for this work.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Survey buildings systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations.
• Conducting routine inspections of facility premises and equipment daily
• Performing completely preventative maintenance and assisting engineering projects
• Hands on repairs and maintenance of facility and manufacture related equipment, fixtures, and tools.
• Diagnosing equipment issues and developing problem solving process (PSP)
• Respond quickly, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol in the event of an emergency.
• Report to maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress daily.
• Develop performance and growth plans annually and review with manager quarterly.
• Provide production and quality improvement report & document to manager and team.
• Working as team with engineers, maintenance technicians, and production technicians to achieve OTD target monthly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 - 5 years of related working experience of maintaining facility and production equipment (electrician is preferable)
• Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and lift heavy objects (40 lbs) for an extended amount of time.
• Experience working with manual and electrical power tools, such as machining equipment (end milling, power hand tools, and drilling press)
• Experienced in operating or maintaining a variety of industrial assembly manufacturing equipment 3 years.
• Ability to read and utilize equipment technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics to troubleshoot the problem of facility/ equipment / instrument independently.
• Capability of creative problem-solving skills to help the engineer complete projects and improve manufacturing process/procedure in-time / on-time.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in team environments.
• Organized and detail-oriented (5S)
• Ability to act competently in emergencies.
• Flexibility of working overtime/ weekends/ holidays/ shift-change to support production in-person or on-call.
• Proficient of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Words, …)
• Experience of robotics, vision, NI device/software, and 3D model CAD system is preferable.
• Experience of documentation control, Kaizen, PSP, SW, 5S, and Six Sigma is preferable.
• Experience of PLC, AD/DC stepping and servo motor system, sensors, barcode scanner/camera, and understanding of safety protocol and OSHA requirement is preferable.
• Experience of Facility equipment maintenance, such as HVAC, boiler, heater, facility pneumatic equipment, building related electricity, and etc. is preferable
