LHH is Hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Near Arlington, TX

LHH is partnering with a National Manufacturer who is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality. This role involves collaborating with various departments, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Design and Improvement:
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
  • Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Production Support:
  • Provide technical support to the production team to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Ensure optimal operation of manufacturing equipment by designing and conducting preventive maintenance programs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that products meet established quality standards.
  • Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
  • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead and manage manufacturing projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, procurement, and production, to ensure project success.
  • Prepare project status reports and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
  • Cost Management:
  • Analyze production costs and identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Optimize resource utilization to improve cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety by conducting risk assessments and implementing safety improvements.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role.
  • Proven experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, PMP) are a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily works in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • May require occasional travel to other manufacturing sites or suppliers.
