Mechanical Process Engineer

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Process Engineer to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production of steel tubing products. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, process improvement techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for steel tubing production.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new and existing processes.
• Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
• Ensure processes meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection protocols.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address product non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and manage process improvement projects from conception through implementation.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production teams.
• Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and process-related issues.
• Specify, design, and oversee the installation and maintenance of equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Conduct regular equipment audits and implement preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, process improvement methodologies, and quality control standards.
• Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to travel between PA and OH
