Summary :

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join a large healthcare organization in Norwood, OH.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical claims processing and billing, with the ability to start between 6-9am and work a full 40-hour week.

Key Responsibilities :

Claim Resolution : Conduct thorough research and investigation to resolve claim discrepancies, billing errors, and denials.

Collaborate with insurance companies, providers, and patients to address and resolve billing issues.

Documentation and Clarification : Work closely with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation or clarification to support claim submissions.

Ensure all claims are accurately documented to facilitate prompt reimbursement.

• Record Maintenance : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of claims, payments, and related activities within the billing system or electronic database.
• Claim Monitoring : Monitor and track the status of claims, follow up on outstanding claims, and escalate unresolved issues to appropriate parties.
• Compliance and Knowledge Update : Stay informed about changes in insurance policies, coding guidelines, and reimbursement procedures to ensure compliance and accurate claims submission.

Qualifications :

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience : Proven experience in medical claims processing, medical billing, or a related healthcare administration role.
• Knowledge : In-depth understanding of medical terminology, coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), insurance regulations, and claim submission processes.
• Technical Skills : Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, with EPIC experience strongly preferred.
