LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Midwest Civil Practice Lead for our client in Omaha, NE. This full-time direct hire position is fully on-site, and the right person can sit in Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; or Omaha NE.
The Midwest Civil Practice Lead will be responsible for planning and designing railroad-related projects, collaborating with other teams, mentoring staff, managing daily operations of civil team, and ensuring compliance with company policies. We are looking for an applicant with 10 years of relevant civil experience and exceptional communication skills. This would be a great fit for an applicant with Class I Railroads experience.
Responsibilities:

• Support and manage daily operations of engineering personnel
• Perform planning, analysis, and design for rail projects
• Collaborate with other teams to develop solutions and support sales goals
• Oversee regional and practice leads, as well as project managers
• Responsible for ensuring team goals and key performance indicators are met
• Assist with mentoring, training, and recruiting staff
• Engage in professional organizations and key conferences/industry events
• Frequent travel required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Must be currently licensed professional engineer
• Minimum 10 years of civil experience, Class I Railroads experience preferred
• Knowledge of civil design codes and software required
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering business and financial
• Proficient with MS Project
• Exceptional communication skills
• Team player

Salary: $90,000 - $150,000
