LHH is working with an exceptional oil and gas company in the Dallas area that is adding a new Property Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate will have public accounting experience, and this role entails comprehensive accounting oversight for a designated portfolio of oil and gas assets. This role requires the practical application of technical accounting principles. and the company provides training on company accounting methodologies along with close supervision and specific directives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing production records, revenue documentation, joint interest billings, and regulatory reporting.
• Effective communication with Operations and Field personnel, along with reconciliation of revenue, tax, and royalty accounts, are key aspects.
• Involvement in projects related to property acquisitions of up to $1 Billion and audit assignments may be required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Preferred: Pursuing CPA certification.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in applying accounting principles, theories, and concepts.
• Capability in journal entry preparation, financial data analysis, and familiarity with technical accounting principles.
• Attention to detail is crucial to ensure precision in all tasks.
