LHH is Hiring a Payroll Accountant Near Phoenix, AZ

Payroll Accountant

Location: North Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM or 8 AM - 5 PM

Salary: $52,000 - $60,000 annually

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant with a strong background in commissions and automotive experience to join our client's team in North Phoenix. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payout processes, with a primary focus on commissions. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and experience with ADP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissions Payout Process:
  • Manage and process commissions payouts accurately and on time.
  • Review and verify employees' monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to determine commission eligibility.
  • Calculate commissions and bonuses based on established criteria.
  • Excel and ADP Integration:
  • Create and export spreadsheets into ADP for payroll processing.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and report data effectively.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Receive and respond to emails from General Managers (GMs) at various stores regarding payroll and commissions.
  • Collaborate with store managers to ensure all necessary information is obtained and accurate.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and analyze corporate reports related to payroll and commissions.
  • Conduct month-end calculations and prepare necessary journal entries (JEs).
  • Additional Duties:
  • Handle various accounting tasks as required during the month-end process.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll accounting, with a focus on commissions.
  • Automotive industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work overtime during the month-end closing process.
