LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a highly analytical Reliability Engineer to join their team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong background in engineering, and the ability to analyze complex data. The primary responsibility of this role is to review the life expectancy of fleet products and develop preventative maintenance schedules to maximize their longevity. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement in reliability and durability.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to optimize product lifespan.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and quality assurance to address reliability issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis of product failures and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize analytical tools such as Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS) and Power BI to analyze data and generate reports.
• Provide recommendations for design improvements to enhance product reliability.
• Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in reliability engineering.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 2 years of experience as a Reliability Engineer, Engineering Analyst, Operations Analyst, or Mechanical Engineer with a strong analytical background.
• Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS.
• Experience with Power BI preferred.
• Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Prior experience in the transportation manufacturing industry (automotive, farming equipment, rail, aerospace, etc.).
