LHH is Hiring a Senior Accountant, 85K-90K (Irving) Near Irving, TX
LHH is working with a large manufacturing company in the Farmers Branch area that is seeking a new Senior Accountant for their team. This person will report to the Finance Manager and will play a crucial part in providing financial accounting, analysis, and support to both the Finance Manager and operational personnel. The Senior Accountant will actively contribute to enhancing day-to-day financial processes.
This position pays 85K-90K plus Bonus
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute financial closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Complete monthly journal entries.
- Reconcile sales records to the general ledger, overseeing credit card and cash sales, short payments, and unapplied cash.
- Compile, analyze, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in inventory and material pricing updates.
- Provide assistance for presentations and audits.
- Perform standard and ad hoc analyses for management.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business.
- Collaborate with District personnel to provide accounting support.
- Communicate effectively within the Division and Corporate support staff.
- Act as a backup for Sales Auditor during absences and as needed.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Utilize strong Excel and analytical skills.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of finance/accounting experience required.
- Manufacturing or construction materials experience is a plus.
- Strong ability to work independently.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial/business analysis.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience with JD Edwards and IBM Planning Analytics is an advantage.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
